Love never ends.

As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

OBITUARY

Ramona (“Monie”) Louise Borders

July 21, 1929 Decatur, IL — January 1, 2024 Reno, NV

Ramona Borders was born in Decatur, Illinois to Marguerite and Cleatus Jackson. She was a sister to Gary Jackson. In 1947, Ramona married classmate Edward Borders and together they had 5 children: Steven, Marsha, Jeff, Virginia, and David. In the early 1960s, Ramona and her children moved to Solana Beach, California, where Ramona became a bookkeeper, eventually starting her own business. Deeply religious, Ramona was a founding member of the Faith Community Church in Encinitas, CA. Ramona's love for Christ inspired her to sponsor missionaries around the globe. She also loved youth ministry and spent many of her summers at the Del Mar County Fair sharing the love of Christ with children through her world-famous puppet shows! "Monie," as she was known to her grandchildren, embodied the true Christian spirit and had a great love of all humanity, dedicating her life towards the betterment of the world and all the souls within it. She was a loving mother, beloved grandmother, treasured daughter, and a caring sister in Christ.

Ramona's surviving family includes her daughter, Ginny Archambault of Ogden, UT, and three sons: Steve Borders of Columbus, NC; Jeff Borders of Kansas City, MO; and David Borders of Reno, NV. Ramona is also succeeded by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: Ben Miller of Syracuse, NY; Sarah Trama, and her son Arthur Trama of Pottstown, PA; Jessica Marshall of Philadelphia, PA; Suzanne Borders of Los Angeles, CA; Elizabeth Barnfield of Washington, DC; and Carrie Pingel, and her 2 sons, Henry and George Pingel, of Ballwin, MO. Ramona is united in Heaven with her daughter, Marsha Borders, who passed in 2012.
